"Guess We're Bout to Dance" explores the allure of a toxic relationship that, despite its damage, continues to draw you in. The dance metaphor captures the push and pull, the cycle of temptation, and the inevitable return to a familiar but harmful dynamic.
“Her background vocals give me that feel of, like, that old nostalgia 2000s that is missing in the world right now.”

Nia
Progressive R&B for an Emotion-Driven Generation
From starring in Disney’s Tony Award-winning The Lion King on Broadway to headlining her In My Mind tour, Los Angeles-based progressive R&B singer-songwriter Nia, originally from Atlanta, continues to captivate audiences at venues such as CSUN, The Mint, and Whisky A Go Go. For fans of Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Willow Smith seeking progressive R&B, Nia blends nostalgic 2000s soulful harmonies and emotionally charged storytelling with production elements from modern R&B, hip-hop, pop, and rock.
Nia’s musical journey began in Atlanta, where her gift was evident from an early age. She started singing around the house, soon performing church solos as a young child. By seven, she was already writing songs, becoming one of the youngest songwriters affiliated with SESAC, and by eleven, she was producing her music, early proof of her remarkable dedication and talent.
Nia’s upcoming Skeletons EP will hit different live, blending progressive R&B and raw storytelling about mental health. She shares openly about anxiety, emotional weight, and the struggles we do not always talk about, turning the space into a safe place where every student can vibe and feel seen. The upcoming In My Mind tour is not just a concert; it is an experience that will leave you inspired to own your story.
